Chic Riebel is the sports editor for PilotOnline.com., where he is responsible for 757teamz.com, the newspaper's high school website.

This is Chic’s second stint at the Pilot. He began his career here as a part-time sports writer in 1972, progressed to full-time in 1974 and covered high schools and colleges until leaving in 1979 to become the sports editor of the Delaware County Daily Times (Pa.).

After 13 years at the Daily Times, Chic returned to the Pilot as sports editor in 1992. He served as high school sports editor from 1996-1999 before returning to the sports editor's position. In August of 2007 he took the job as online sports editor, where he was responsible for the development of 757teamz.com, He continues to work in that position.

Born in Philadelphia, Chic grew up in the South Jersey suburbs. He graduated from Peirce Jr. College in Philadelphia and attended Frostburg State College (Md.) before enlisting in the Navy in 1969. Chic landed his first job at the Pilot while stationed at the Norfolk Naval Air Station.

He and his wife Connie, the former manager of the Landmark Employees Credit Union, have two adult children and one grandchild and live in Edenton, N.C.
