Dave Forster covers Suffolk City Hall.

Dave joined The Virginian-Pilot as the Suffolk public safety reporter in April 2006. He came to Virginia from Fargo, N.D., where he worked 3½ years as a reporter for The Forum, largely covering police and courts.

He is originally from Minnesota and graduated in 2002 from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. He now lives in Portsmouth.
