Meghan Hoyer is The Pilot’s urban enterprise reporter, covering Norfolk and Portsmouth with a concentration on housing issues.

She moved to Norfolk to work at The Pilot in 2003. Prior to her current job, she covered Portsmouth city government for more than four years. She has also worked at the Louisville Courier-Journal and the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.

Meghan graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in journalism and a concentration in urban studies. She was born and raised in a town just outside Hartford, Conn.
