As editorial assistant in the Features Department, Patty Jenkins writes music-related stories featuring local and national artists. She is also responsible for organizing the CD reviews in “Soundwaves” which can be found in Pulse and in the blog online.
Patty has been with The Pilot for over 25 years. Before coming to the Features Department, she worked in the Virginia Beach newsroom supporting its staff and providing copy for the Virginia Beach Beacon. Prior to that, she worked in the Advertising Department.
She and her husband Rick live in Virginia Beach, and have three sons.
Patty is a breast cancer survivor, and even had her own story told in the pages of The Pilot. In 2000, she served as registration co-chair for the inaugural Komen Tidewater Race for the Cure that is now held annually at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
