Steven earned a master of theological studies degree in 2003 after studying at Bangor Theological Seminary in Maine and Regent University’s divinity school. He earned a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in 1983, and a bachelor’s degree in American history from the University of Rochester in 1980.
Vegh previously reported on religion and city government for The Portland Press Herald in Maine. In his 27 years of journalism, he has also been a state capital reporter in Hartford, Conn., a city government and investigator reporter in Danbury, Conn. and in Texas, and a general assignment reporter for The Daily News in Durban, South Africa. He lives in Norfolk.
