Tim McGlone covers federal courts and federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, DEA, ATF, Secret Service and Immigration, for The Virginian-Pilot. His beat also encompasses the death penalty and DNA issues.

Tim has been a journalist for 20 years, having worked as a reporter and editor at newspapers in Middletown, N.Y., Newburgh, N.Y., and Schenectady, N.Y., before coming to The Pilot in 1997. He has won several journalism awards in New York and Virginia.

A native of Long Island, N.Y., Tim lives in Norfolk with his wife and two children.
