Concursive Corp. name is new at Norfolk technology firm

Posted to: Business

NORFOLK

Rapidly growing Centric CRM, an open-source software technology firm in downtown Norfolk, is now Concursive Corp. The name change reflects its shift from traditional customer relationship management software to a product that allows small and midsize companies to interact with customers in an online community, said Michael Harvey, executive vice president.

The move coincides with the release of an updated version of its core product, Concourse Suite 5.0. With the software, companies can create social networking sites and manage Web sites and employee and customer communications.

Since June, when it announced an investment by Intel Corp's Intel Capital, the company has tripled its work force, to around 65 employees.
