Julian Walker covers state government for The Virginian-Pilot in Richmond.

Julian has been a journalist for 10 years. Prior to joining The Pilot in 2007, he worked for The Richmond Times-Dispatch and newspapers in Philadelphia, PA and Staunton, VA where he covered local and state governments.

A native of Passaic, NJ, Julian was raised on the East Coast, in the Midwest and Virginia. He is a graduate of James Madison University and resides in Richmond with his wife and two dogs.
