Vice mayor of Chesapeake stable after heart attack

CHESAPEAKE
Vice Mayor Dwight Parker suffered a heart attack at his home early Monday, and spent the day recovering at Chesapeake General Hospital, city officials said.
Parker was in stable condition Monday, and several City Council members visited him in the hospital's intensive care unit.
Parker, a teacher at Deep Creek High School, was first elected to the council in 1995.
