FRANKLIN

The city's 911 service was disrupted Thursday afternoon due to a cut fiber optic line out of the area. A patch provided a temporary repair.

The outage happened about 2:30 p.m. and the repair was made a little after 4 p.m., according to a press release. The line was cut during construction digging, the release said.

It is not known how long it will be before a more permanent fix can be put in place.
