Give and Take Politics As Usual
Our government is planning on giving us some money, up to $1200 as it stands now if you are filing double, $600 if you are filing single. Whoooooo Eeeeeee! Bo
b’s, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Wal*Mart here I come! Free money! Whoooooo Eeeeeee!
Gosh. I wonder where they got all that cash to give an average of $600 to almost 150 million of us. I’ll let you do the math, but I know it’s going to come to a lot of money. Where will it come from? Perhaps Bush and Cheney’s personal accounts since we have been such good citizens these past 8 years? Perhaps left-over Enron cash, hidden in Grandma Bush’s sewing basket?
Or, was it ours to begin with and they are not really “giving” it to us, but returning a portion of it they have decided they did not really need and that the amount would placate us before an election? A cheery voter is a compliant, oops, pliant voter.
Or is this a sign that we have been regularly over-taxed and this is surplus money, again given to placate us before we pull those levers, punch those cards or otherwise participate as citizen voters?
And it is more than just the money. The U. S. Treasury people are going to have to do lots of paperwork, program machines, write lots of checks – how much do 150 million check-sized pieces of paper and attendant envelopes plus postage for 150 million or so envelopes cost? So it is going to cost mucho millions to “give” us even more millions. It almost looks as if it is going to cost almost as much to give us back our money as you are going to give us in the first place. Amazing! That’s some swift accounting there, George W. Let’s not forget the clowns in Congress who are criminal accessories to this accounting falderal, this con game we are about to experience.
I fervently wish, hope and despair within my heart and mind that Congress and the Administration would come to their collective senses, if they have any left. Keep your gosh darn hands off our money in the first place. Stop spending on un-Constitutional expenditures; stop taking from the states, processing the money to lift a percentage and then give it back to the states. Stop considering the lot of us as stupid fools who will gratefully thank you for giving us what you have already stole from us.
I would be happier if you had not robbed us in the first place. By the way, if you are going to give us back money you’ve initially stolen from us with your pseudo-legal taxation shenanigans, have the decency to give it all back, and then stop the thefts.
That is what would make this voter happy.
Otherwise, we may as well put it all into our collective sock drawers to give back to our government in April of 2009. And, believe me, we'll be giving it back no matter who from which party wins. is it not a crime? Are you all not tired of the government sanctioned thefts from our pockets. I hear you all cheering and screaming, "Yeah! Right! You tell 'em, Archie!" So, rather than "telling them," let's do something about it, folks.

Taxes
One has to also take into consideration the total immorality of todays "income tax" and the way it is implemented. The country did fine prior to 1913 using direct taxes uniform across the board and tarriffs. Now 95 years later there is a "tax code" that no one understands, and a "federal agency" that can disrgard due process of law, violate a persons 4th and 5th Amendment rights and put one in jail for failure to comply. It's legal extortion. It's a page right out of the communist manifesto.
It is immoral to tax the sweat off of a mans brow. When one negotiates a salary with his employer, one exchanges ones time and talents for money to put food on the table and a roof over ones head. AN EVEN EXCHANGE. Time and labor for money. It is not the same as winning the lottery or your stock investmment going through the roof. Until government returns to it's constitutional roots, due process, and citizens vote for such change, the citizens of this country will be in debt to government for as long as they live.
