So I made a reference in my Saturday column about phantom cell phone vibrations to not being able to dive right into the Ian McEwan book, "Atonement." But I wrote that on Tuesday and then things changed and I raced through the remained of the 300 or so pages throughout the weekend. I have not read a book with such conviction since I was on a plane, desperate to finish "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. But, and I don't want to spoil the book for anyone, I thought the ending was a cop out. It's been two days and I'm still very upset with the narrator. Blech.
My column today is on the Ron Paul blimp and its roots in Pasquotank County.
This story does not provide an incentive to save the president's life. This guy did so and all he got was a lousy letter. C'mon! A letter!?!
