Navy divers from the Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit Two who worked to recover victims in the I-35 bridge collapse in Minneapolis in August will be honored for their efforts on Monday.

The divers will receive awards during a ceremony at 9 a.m. at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base, according to a Navy news release.

The dive unit also will be awarded Meritorious Unit Commendations for work done throughout 2007, the release says.

The 17 divers who went to Minneapolis worked with local, state and federal authorities to find missing people, remove debris and recover vehicles, the release says.
