The concert tonight at Scope with Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson is billed as '2 Worlds 2 Voices,' but it also could be named A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock 'n' Roll.

The singers are both genre busters, but the Queen of Country Music and the pop star meteor have more in common than that.

Here's another way to compare them:

1982- Clarkson was born in a Fort Worth, Texas, suburb.

McEntire, from little ol' Chockie, Okla., turned 27. After six years in the country music business, she was still one year away from her first No. 1 country single.

Mid 1990s- A seventh-grade teacher heard Clarkson singing in school and suggested she join the school choir.

McEntire, having won the Country Music Association's female vocalist of the year award from 1984 to 1987, dominated the '90s as well. She had eight No. 1 country singles and four No. 1 albums, and won her second Grammy Award.

2002- Clarkson won "American Idol." Her first single, "A Moment Like This" from the show, hit No. 1.

McEntire won a People's Choice Award for her year-old TV series, "Reba." She performed with Clarkson at a post-season "Idol" special.

2007- McEntire and Clarkson sung a duet for the Academy of Country Music Awards show. They taped a "CMT Crossroads" television special together. Clarkson, having difficulties with her third album, jumped to new management, Starstruck Entertainment, run by McEntire's husband, Narvel Blackstock.

2008- Clarkson's three albums have hit No. 1., No. 2 and No. 3 on the Billboard charts, with seven No. 1 singles on various charts. She's sold more than 18 million albums.

McEntire has sold more than 40 million albums. Her 2007 album "Reba: Duets" hit No. 1 on the overall Billboard charts, a first for her, partly on the coattails of her single with Clarkson, a remake of the "Idol" hit "Because of You." The song is up for a Grammy, which would give each artist three.
