WVBT Fox 43 adds new nighttime news anchor

Posted to: News

A newsman with a “Peanuts’’ past premiered as co-anchor of WVBT on Monday.

Eric Harryman joined the Fox 43 team as co-anchor of the 10 p.m. newscast.

Harryman has worked at two Los Angeles newsrooms, and in Colorado. Most recently, he was weekday morning co-anchor at WIVI in Boise, Idaho, for three years.

Before getting into the news business, Harryman was project manager for “Peanuts” cartoon creator Charles M. Shultz.

Harryman has a Virginia connection; he met his wife, Lisa, in Williamsburg more than a decade ago. They are the parents of one daughter, Gracie.
