Just a Little Bit Longer: Doctors and a medical officer determined that Britney Spears should remain hospitalized an additional two weeks, a source close to Britney told the Associated Press. Spears was to be released from UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric hospital Sunday, but medical personnel cited a section in the state law that allows patients to be retained for medical treatment if they are found to be gravely disabled or a danger to themselves or others.
And Another Thing: On top of her hospital stay and losing joint custody of her two sons, reports People Magazine, the court recently ruled that someone needed to take over her personal and financial affairs and chose Spears’ father, James Spears. We’re pretty sure the court made a good move - because we all know how well her mother, Lynne Spears, manages her daughters’ careers.

Mrs. McPhee: Katharine McPhee, an "American Idol" finalist and budding actress tied the knot with her longtime producer boyfriend Nick Cokas Saturday, reports E! News. According to People magazine, the couple swapped vows in a late afternoon ceremony at the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church in front of 305 of their closest friends. The duo is separated in age by almost two decades, Cokas is 42, and met in 2005, in McPhee’s pre-Idol days. McPhee will next be seen on the big screen this August, when she stars alongside Anna Faris and Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer Willis in the dark sorority comedy, "I Know What Boys Like."
Freakin' Phil: Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter when he saw his shadow Saturday. People must feel like their reliving the same day or something, because according to Technorati, the most discussed video on IMDB.com this weekend was Groundhog Day.
Abercrombie Fit: Speaking of "sex," Virginia Beach police seized two large promotional photographs from the Abercrombie & Fitch store in Lynnhaven Mall on Saturday following a citizen complaint, reported The Virginian-Pilot. The story, posted online Sunday, set off a frenzy of online user interaction. As of 5 p.m. Sunday, the story garnered more than 250,000 hits. The story was well on it's way to garnering the same attention today. So you're bound to see plenty of follow-ups to that story soon.
