Hampton police ID victim in fatal pedestrian wreck

HAMPTON

Police have identified the pedestrian killed Thursday night after being hit by a truck in the 1900 block of E. Pembroke Ave.

Police said Shirley Mae Harris, 55, of the 1800 block of Hurst Drive, was crossing the street about 9 p.m. when she was hit by a Ford pickup. The pickup driver will not be charged, police said.
