NORFOLK
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, president of RainbowPUSH Coalition, is expected to speak to community leaders at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Norfolk at noon today, a spokesman for a local radio station said Monday.
Jackson, who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party nomination for president in 1984 and 1988, is expected to talk about politics during his luncheon address, said James Phillips, program director for WPCE 1400 AM.
The event is sponsored by WPCE and stations WGPL 1350 AM and WCPK 1600 AM, all owned by Willis Broadcasting. For information about attending the event, call (757) 622-4600, Phillips said.

My son was seen him at
My son was seen him at Landstown High School today, let's just say that he was so unimpressed with Mr. Jackson. I explained to him that the way Mr. Jackson is able to lead a rather nice lifestyle is by strong arming companies by threatening to boycott them if they don't support the Rainbow Push Coalition. What a farce that group is.
Election?
When did Paul Riddick become Mayor of Norfolk?
I'm sure it's too late for this comment.
Since Jesse Jackson is both pro-abortion (the murder of unborn babies) and pro-homosexual, both things condemned by the Holy Bible why are 'Christian' radio stations supporting him? Why, because even though they own radio stations that play Christian music, they do not actually believe the Holy Bible when it talks about holiness.
Perhaps they'll serve Ham Sandwiches.
I suppose both Mr. Jesse,"Shakedown",Jackson and Mayor Paul,"Please Pass the Ham",Riddick and Riddicks "sidekick", Paul Fraim will discuss ways to distribute the wealth. I'm also quite sure that Mr. Fraim will make the most of this photo op.
Jesse
I hope he brings a copy of his w-2 with him. He personally has set race relations back 100 years.
a real pro
A shakedown artist....ranks up there with the best of them. Wonder how much of somebodys money he left town with???
I'm Black...
so ask me, "Do I give a ....?" I guess he's not getting headlines anywhere else in the country nowadays, so he comes here. He, his kind, and his rhetoric are outmoded, and irrelevant.
RACIST blowhard
The biggest, loudest racist of them all is coming to town??? Who cares? I'd be ashamed to have him speak at anything I was attending. It's really too bad folks can't see through this windbag for what he really is: a racist extortionist...
Jesse who?
Oh yeah, that guy who shows up blaming someone else for his problems, living high on the hog while the so called people he represents can barely afford mac and cheese? Yeah, that guy.
And this makes news?
Who really cares what Jesse Jackson has to say? That may be a good reason why he is speaking while most people are at work.
