Ocean Lakes - Reunion Time

Calling all Class of 1999 grads: It's Reunion Time

I have to keep asking myself, has it really been ten years since I graduated from high school? I never considered I would live to see the day where I would be planning for a class reunion for myself!  I must say considering the idea of attending my own reunion makes me excited and nervous. I can't wait to share the experience as it comes. Maybe I'll even do a little count down.

When I graduated from high school I really didn't want to leave. Sure, I was ready for college, but when I reached college and the dorm, I instantly missed my school. I missed those awesome pep rallys in the gym where Coach Prince encouraged us through his "I Am Somebody" speech. I missed those days hanging out upstairs before class listening to the guys freestyle rap and joke. I missed my friends and all the crazy things I did; Things my mom doesn't know and will never know. Things that made me determined to keep whatever happend at Ocean Lakes stays at Ocean Lakes. For the most part I was a sweet, innocent young girl. (insert laughter from my friends)

As I log onto Myspace I was surprised to see a note from a fellow classmate informing me our class president is gearing up to plan our class reunion. In fact, in this age of Facebook and Myspace, she has created a page on both sites dedicated to planning and networking.

So if you know of anyone who graduated "back in the day" in 1999 and attended Ocean Lakes, let them know about this link.

In the mean time I'm going to start stressing over finding Mr. Right, losing 100 lbs and finding the perfect outfit before the big day.... but I have time.  After all, its only about 300 days away.
