Darth Nader
... and just when Obi Wan Obama is beginning to think he has this thing in the bag, along comes Darth Nader to mess it all up.
And another thing: If I were attributing a Star Wars character to Obama, I don't think it would be Obi Wan. Nope, who really comes to mind is Jar Jar Binks. Hmmmmm ... Jar Jar Obama .... I like it.
And, in supporting roles, Hillary Palpatine and John Skywalker
Obi Wan Obama
I have been seeing some people get mighty fired up about "Obi Wan Obama" and how he seems to have "the force" on his side, causing people, mostly women to faint.
I think that Hillary will go absolutly ballistic if Obama wins Texas, Ohio and then Pennsylvania, which he has the horsepower to do right now. And gee whiz, wasn't it Bill who thought it'd be a great idea to have Obi Wan Obama speak at the Democratic National Convention when they nomnated Algore? Seems that Bill Clinton created another monster that is causing Hillary some problems on her way to the White House. If Hillary loses Texas and Ohio, which she could very probably do, I predict that she will whip out the "disenfranchised voters" line that worked so well for the Dems back in 2000 and demand that the "voters in Florida and Michigan be heard!"
I honestly think that Obi Wan Obama believes his rhetoric and those who support him do, too. I also think that if he is elected, racisim will no longer be a defense because hey, if a black man can come from nothing and become President, what's left to blame? I also think that Hillary will stop at nothing to become President and if she doesn't, we will see what the def
Yes and No Respectively
Senator Clinton is desperate. No she will not create a major blunder. She has surrounded herself with some pretty smart people, who, as long as she listens to them will keep that from happening. Former President Clinton on the other hand looks to be a loose canon.
The other side of that argument of course is Obama and his army of "Obamabots" (much thanks to Riley at Virginia Virtucon for the term). They are steam rolling right now and running over anyone and anything that gets in their way. I don't mean that negatively, he's simply on a roll.
My concern is that his "roll" is a poplularity contest not a grassroots level ground swell based on ideas and policies. I still don't know HOW he is going to implement is changes. He's managed to identify what he perceives as problems but hasn't really outlined how to correct them.
Ron Paul
Ron Paul is the only person I can honestly support. If his name is not on the ballot, I will write in "Ron Paul."
Too Late
I believe Hillary was getting desperate a few months ago when the Obama train first started rolling. I have heard at least two talking heads say that she has not developed a theme ("experience" is not a theme, it's a qualification). She made the mistake of telegraphing in the very beginning of the race that she had the nomination in the bag, forgetting how much America likes the underdog. Her best bet is NOT to resort to any dirty tricks, and to distance herself from her husband as much as possible. She still has a chance if she wins these make-or-break primaries. I want to know who Archie would support for President, since I answered his question.
Don't Count Out Lady Hildamort Just Yet
I think the Hildabeast will wait to see how it goes in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Depending on those results (and assuming that she does not win enough of those delegates to stay close to Obama) then the desperation tactics will begin. Look out for behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing for superdelegates, uncommitted delegates, and unseated delegates from Michigan and Florida. The Clinton Mafia will stop at nothing to realize her life-long ambition of attaining power. However, the growing Messianic movement for Obama cannot be discounted. If he enters the convention with the popular and delegate vote and is then denied the nomination, it will be the schism heard ‘round the world in the Democrat Party. It will be like Chicago 1968.
moronic?
who's the hater? So Fox News is rubbish - what's the New York Times?
Moronic
Is emotion now exemplified by (long debunked) 'scary brown person with muslim sounding name madrassa/koran' smears and hillary-is-castro vilification?
ironic
Nobody hates like a dem - yet they seem so offended by the emotion.
Hillary Clinton dropping out
Hillary Clinton dropping out of the race would be a huge disappointment to the Repub winger faction that has spent the last 12 years equating her with the plague, Ahmadinejad, & Kim Jong Il. And, looking at today's paper, Castro. All that hatred and nowhere to go. Of course, thats not correct, Obama would be the next recipient. For starters, we'll see the resusitation of the Fauxnews Obama muslim, koran swearing, scary brown person with a ferner sounding name slime campaign. That will be the tip of the iceberg. Personally, I want to see Clinton drop out. Enough with the monarchies.
Something to watch, for sure
The Clintons have no intention of giving up power. Hillary has put up with quite a bit to get to this point, and these are not people to be trifled with. If things don’t work out in their favor legitimately, watch the hat tricks with super delegates and rouge caucuses. If that doesn’t work, there will be revelations regarding Obama’s past. If that doesn’t work, they’ll use some of those really tall signs at the conventions, the ones with the states’ names on them, to simply beat dissenters with.
