Two students at Regent University's School of Law won first-place honors, beating 18 other law school teams, in the William B. Spong National Moot Court Tournament held Feb. 15 and 16 at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg.

Leo Lestino and Rachel Williams won the overall championship as well as the best petitioner brief category. The competition simulates argument before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Teams from Regent, based in Virginia Beach, won two similar tournaments last year. Regent students also won the American Bar Association's National Appellate Advocacy Championship in 2006.
