Get ready to wipe a tear Hampton Roads - the 'Morning Point,' the popular morning show on 94.9 F.M., is breaking-up.
According to a press release on the Point's website, WPTE-FM has made a change to the station’s daily talent line-up. As of March 17, Jenna Kehoe has officially moved from her morning shift with Chuck (Chuck Doud) and Woo woo (Mary Kathryn “Woo Woo” Young) to the mid-day shift. Jenna will swap her “Morning Point” shift with current 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Point personality, Heather Branch.
For the past few days, the morning show has made substitutions with their deejays: Heather filling in for Jenna, or Barry filling in for Chuck. Point personality substitutions are not unusual as deejays travel to go out of town, are out sick or host/emcee local events. But the recent swaps, without explanation on air, have raised eyebrows as to whether husband-wife duo Chuck and Jenna are getting a divorce. The couple is known for chatting about their relationship, children and personal lives on the air, making them both relatable and local celebrities.
The press release states that "the shift change was made to accommodate some very special needs of Kehoe and her husband/Morning Point co-host, Doud."
Operations Manager Don London states, “Chuck and Jenna are going through a very personal matter and we would like to request that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They’re dealing with some lifestyle challenges and some child care issues. You will continue to be able to enjoy all of your favorite Point talents; albeit two in different time slots. Thank you for your concern and thank you for listening to 94.9, The Point."
The 'Morning Point' is one of the most successful morning shows in Hampton Roads, often bringing in big name musicians and stars to the studio for live interviews and performances. Along with musicians and entertainers, the 'Morning Point' team also recently interviewed via phone former president Bill Clinton and actress Christina Ricci.

Stopped Listening
I stopped listening to the morning point because Jenna became overbearing and obnoxious. She ran all over Chuck and WooWoo. I also disliked the way she talked to and about Chuck on the air. My husband and I relate to each other is a smart butt way but we never cross the line to just plain old mean and I heard Jenna on several occassions cross that line. I still don't think I'll come back though, because WooWoo is a bit ditzy and I don't care for Heather. Sorry but I'm forever gone. Not that it matters
Jenna will be missed in the AM
The morning show wont be the same without Jenna. Im not a fav of Heather. She once hung up on me because I had won contest several times on the midday show and I guess she remembered my name. On the up side I listen all day at work and I do like having Jenna on for most of the day. Love you Jenna!!!
Point Breakup
Maybe I'll start listening again...
radio breakup
I will not listen as frequently. I didn't care for Heather Branch when they've used her as a substitute before. She just seems kinda fake...like she's trying to hard to be witty or something. As I only listen in the morning, I will miss Jenna.
