Bowing out in Portsmouth
Re "Interest earned, interest squandered" (editorial, March 22), about the $4.7 million loan that Portsmouth left in a bank account:
How much more can we put up with from our City Council? Obviously our council members are too busy increasing our assessments and our water bills, and doing away with the arts and recycling, to watch our pocketbook.
I suppose we are expected to bow our heads and thank them for not squandering that $4.7 million they forget they had.
Well, my bowing days to them are over. My next bow will be to the ballot box!
