NASA has awarded a Hampton-based research institute a contract that could yield up to $36 million over five years, NASA officials announced Wednesday.
The National Institute of Aerospace Associates - a research group that partners with several universities, including Hampton University, Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia - will work with NASA's Langley Research Center on aerospace and atmospheric science research.
The partnership also will seek to improve collaboration between government agencies, universities and industry, according to a NASA statement Wednesday.
