SUFFOLK

Police are asking for help in solving a string of vandalisms in neighborhoods off Bennetts Pasture Road in north Suffolk.

Police say many of the 17 incidents, which have occurred since January, appear to be the work of the same person or people. They include thefts of landscape lights, shoes and skateboards; damage to lighting wires; bubbles put in a vehicle's gas tank; and glue put in a door lock.

Most occurred at night on Harbor Road, Windjammer Road and Burning Tree Lane.

Police are asking residents to report any suspicious activity. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK -U-UP.
