Starbucks CEO and former SuperSonics owner Howard Schultz is using a super-sized straw to stir up controversy, suing to get the team back, contending that the new owner breached a condition of the sale by making no effort to keep the team in Seattle. For a coffee czar, his grounds are pretty weak.

At a banquet in Brisbane involving members of Australia's Olympic teams, a batch of chocolate muffins was discovered to be stuffed with paper clips. Fortunately, muffins aren't a staple of any athlete's diet, thus no one was harmed.

When U.S. astronaut Garrett Reisman threw out the first pitch at Wednesday's Yankees-Red Sox game he was truly amongst the stars, since Reisman was aboard the International Space Station at the time. Orbiting with Reisman is a Yankees cap and banner. Even away from Earth, you can't escape from Yankees fans.

Putting the 'car' in "carnival," a Nike internet video depicts Kobe Bryant leaping over a luxury vehicle speeding toward him. Bryant said jumping the Aston Martin was even easier than clearing Kenyon Martin.

Terrell Owens is rumored to have 10 unique post-touchdown moves, so get your popcorn ready. Props to programmers for including this feature, which could start a different type of Dance Dance Revolution.

After being held to a season-low 11 points Sunday night, Carmelo Anthony decided to get some points on his driver's license and was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Denver. This isn't the first time Anthony's been accused of taking too many shots.

If you think you've had a long week, compare it to Brit Dave Heeley, who ran seven marathons in seven days. The Buzz got winded just typing that sentence. Heeley, who is blind, did it to raise money for an association that provides seeing eye dogs. What a kind sole.

On Wednesday, former MLB manager Tommy Lasorda was among a group invited by President Bush to welcome Pope Benedict XVI to the country. It's the third pope Lasorda's met. Guess he figures on judgement day it'll be handy to have holy men who can come to bat for him.

Photogenic tennis player Ana Ivanovic already has males all over her. Now, she'll be all over mail. The Serbian star has a stamp and envelope in her homeland honoring her. Ivanovic is looking forward to critics no longer writing her off.
