Portsmouth track athlete who struck opponent with baton charged with assault

“One misdemeanor charge of assault and battery was taken out in this matter,” Bethany Harrison, Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Lynchburg, wrote in an email to The Pilot on Thursday morning.

A Norfolk man has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting on Old Dominion University's campus that is being investigated as a double homicide.
