Virginia Arts Festival schedule

The 12th annual Virginia Arts Festival  was established to provide Hampton Roads' audiences with world-class performing arts. The 45-day festival of music, dance and modern performance begins this Thursday and continues through June.

Virginia International Tattoo kicks of the festival with performances all  weekend at the Scope Arena.  More than 800 performers from the U.S. , Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Turkey  will assemble for a percussion, horn and marching spectacular.

More highlights include Black Grace, Etta James, Garrison Keillor, JoAnn Falletta and Friends, Virginia Beer Festival, Noche Flamenca,  Living Legacy: A Celebration of Holocaust Composers, and Martha Graham Dance Company.
