The Stationary Haddock
"A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle." Widely attributed to feminist Gloria Steinem in the 1970's, this quote was met by the male response: "Yes, but who needs a stationary haddock?" According to the Stationary Haddock, the answer to that question is: "four animals, for starters!"
The Stationary Haddock, formerly The Shopping Diet Chick, is raising two dogs and two birds in Norfolk. She has been compared to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich: sweet and nutty.

Ack!
Sorry, Eeyore. I feel your pain! What's funny is, I thought I wasn't ABLE to lock the keys in my car because of those electronic locks- I thought it locked only when I pressed the button. I knew it automatically locked when I was inside the car, but I thought it did that only when the keys were in the ignition- mine were on the seat. I don't get it. How many times will AAA come out before you finally have to pay, I wonder?
I need this
I sweat everything. It's funny because I KNOW deep down I shouldn't be sweating the small stuff... it's just natural for me to. I have no idea why. I should get this book!
PS I have had a car since 1997(?) and never locked my keys in my car until this year~I have locked them in my car four times in the past 12 months!! GAH!!! Hallejuah AAA!! One time was one of the coldest days of this past winter and I locked them in at the gas pump. I had to wait inside of Wawa for almost an hour, it was so embarrassing!
God bless...
your son! What an awesome testimony to the power of positive thinking. He's a very special person.
Amen!
I've never read the book but I agree with everything you said. One can overcome even the most horrible event (just ask me, my son had a stroke at 6 days of age, has cerebral palsy, a developmental delay and is in a wheelchair full-time) but he made me the mom that I am today and even with the horrible things that have happened to him he still believes that everyone is good and he's happy ALL the time! I liked what you wrote because I wish more people would adopt that way of thinking!!
