Authorities have sworn out juvenile petitions charging a 14-year-old girl after police said she had a list of other students she wanted to harm in her locker at Hampton High School.
The girl, who wasn’t identified because of her age, is being charged with communicating threats by way of writing and communicating verbal threats, said Cpl. Allison Good, police spokeswoman.
Someone at the school heard the girl saying she had a “death list” in her locker and school administrators were notified, Good said.
The locker was searched yesterday by administrators who found the list and notified the school resource officer.
The officer got the petitions and they will be served by juvenile intake officers, Good said.
A spokeswoman with the school division wasn’t in her office this morning.
