Don't expect Gov. Timothy M. Kaine to be wearing a suit or First Lady Anne Holton to be in a dress when they arrive in Williamsburg on Saturday.
They'll likely have worked up a sweat, having pedaled from Virginia's capital city to its Colonial Capital.
The couple is slated to participate in the 2008 Bike MS: Virginia Credit Union Ride Virginia.
Virginia's First Cyclists are slated to set off from Bank Street, just below the State Capitol, at 7:30 a.m. and arrive in Williamsburg later in the morning. Both will be back in the region on separate visits next week.
Gov. Kaine is scheduled to hold a transportation town hall meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Virginia Beach Convention Center off 19th Street near the Oceanfront.
The main topic will be the upcoming special session of the General Assembly, called by Kaine to address the state's transportation needs, especially as they pertain to Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia.
Staff from the Unclaimed Property Division of the Virginia Department of Treasury also will be on hand to help citizens check for money, stocks, bonds, dividends, utility deposits, insurance proceeds and tangible property being held by the state.
No sign-in is required to attend or to ask questions and all town hall meetings are open to the public.
On Wednesday, First Lady Holton is scheduled to return to Williamsburg to speak at 6 p.m. a meeting of the TowneBank Williamsburg Executive Women’s Network.
The meeting will be held at TowneBank Williamsburg in the 5200 block of Monticello Ave.
