VDOT reported a backup of about six miles on I-64 west at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel just after 4 p.m.
Backups were reported at the Midtown and Downtown Tunnels as well.

The House decides it's not important to fund a major HRBT expansion (trust me, it WILL cost either in cash or in lost economic opportunity*).
* Which has happened. Anyone remember the NHL Rhinos (can't remember how to spell) or the MLB team that's now the Capitals? Anyone remember one of their biggest turnoffs? Traffic (and the Scope is a dump, but that's a different story)
Yet.....
The traffic experts lead by norfolk's mayor fraim seem to think there is no need to do anything at the HRBT. Seems the group of developer lead politicians on the MPO might not be the best decision makers for tidewater transportation issues.
