Kyle Busch in an F1 car?

Believe it. Kyle Busch says he's working on a test session after this season to drive a Formula One car in Japan for Toyota. Viewed by many in the garage as the sport's most talented driver, it's not a stretch that he might be good in such a car but at age 23 he'll be too old for F1 soon. Still, the idea of Busch in an F1 car is interesting.

Busch said part of that test session would include take a Cup car to Japap for an exhibition drive. "Just kind of run around there at either Twin Ring (where IndyCar runs) or something like that and show them what the Cup cars are like and try to get in a Formula One car, too.''

Is he interested in F1 beyond that test?

"We'll see how good I test first. I wouldn't mind it. If I'm good at it, then I'll give it a shot and try it,'' he said. "It seems that their racing isn't all that great. They kind of get stuck in line and the aero takes over everything and Toyota is not necessarily one of those companies at the moment that's like Ferrari or that's like McLaren or what Renault was a couple of years ago.''

Busch also talked about last year's all-star race where he and older brother Kurt wrecked. Kyle admits that the brothers didn't patch up their differences from that event until Christmas.

"Grandma asked for a Christmas present that we both get along and go to Christmas dinner together, so that was her present,'' Kyle said.

So, how was that dinner?

"It was a little edgy to begin with becaues that was about the first time we ever sat down together,'' Kyle said. "The more it kind of went, the more it kind of got back to normal and friendly and by the end of the night we were playing games. We ended up playing a couple of pool games together. We played Pictionary. we had the Pictionary championships that night, too, guys vs. girls. Guys won. We had to play nice together.''

Oh yeah!

So Kyle wants to test an F1 car at Motegi, newsflash, it ain't happenin'.

Motegi is owned by Honda, there's no way in hell they will let a Toyota driver, even a NASCAR one, test a Toyota F1 machine on that track.

Conversly, Honda won't give him a F1 Honda to test with, not at Motegi or Suzuka that is also owned by Honda.

MeThinks young Mr. Busch suffered a case of verbal Montezuma's Revenge when a microphone was stuck in his face.
