There were no injuries Thursday when a car hit the side of a city school bus, police said.

The collision occurred about 3 p.m. in the 1500 block of Hilton Street.

Police said a car was pulling out of a parking lot when its front end clipped the passing bus. The driver of the car, whose name was not released, was given a ticket for failure to yield.

There were four students and a driver on the bus at the time. No one was injured.
