Today I’m listing pet descriptions from the Suffolk Humane Society. These pets need a good forever home. Maybe with you. If I had a little more room, I’d get Rufus and bring him home with me. Then my neighbors would know I was nuts instead of just thinking it.

There are really cute pictures of each pet on the website at www.suffolkhumanesociety.com. All the adoption information is on the site too, including adoption fees. There are also listings of hotels and kennels helping with disaster relief for those affected by the tornadoes. 

Pollo is a 8 month old male pit bull mix. He is very sweet, playful, and has a high activity level. He loves to play outside, but is also a good inside dog. He is good with children, other animals, strangers, and has no known behavior problems. He is a happy pup that would love someone to love and play with. Skippy is a 2 year old male german shepherd mix. He is a friendly guy--just look at that smile! He came in as a stray but is a really sweet guy and would make an excellent pet with a bit of basic training. Good boy! Kennel #18.

Rufus is a 8 month old male lab mix. He came in as a stray and is a VERY energetic little boy. He also LOVES to run and play. He would be best in a home with an active family. Kennel #24.

Puppies, 3 of them, 1 male and 2 females that are 7 week old lab/chow mixes. They have records and are cute cuddly little things. The female to the left is really shy and likes to sit in your lap. The male in the center is shy at first, but loves to play and his tail never stops wagging. The female on the right is always anxious to play. Kennel #26.

Lilly is a 2 year old spayed female German Shepherd. She is a big, beautiful, friendly girl that is good with strangers. She may need to be in an only dog home though because she is somewhat territorial and was kept outside. She also doesn't like being brushed too much. She could use some basic training and will probably make an excellent pet. Kennel #15.

Bruce is a 6 month old male pit mix. He is a beautiful, gentle boy. He's scared and shy, but you can see he just needs lots of TLC. He has gorgeous blue eyes and came in as a stray. He warms up to you eventually and is a really sweet boy. Kennel #30.

Dexter is a 2-3 year old tri-colored male Beagle. He came in as a stray and is a real sweetie. He also loves to be scratched and would love to be an addition to your family. Kennel #3.

Bubba is a 10 week old male pit mix. He came in as a stray but has records from the shelter. He is a real cutie pie that loves to play! His favorite toys are ropes and tennis balls. He also thinks he's a lap dog since he loves to sit in them. He could possibly be deaf because he doesn't pay attention to loud noises. He's a real sweet pup that would love to be a part of your family. Kennel #13.

Billy is a 4-5 month old male pit mix. He came in as a stray and has records at the shelter. He is eager, but is also a bit anxious. He will be a good pup with care. He also loves the outdoors and is very playful. Kennel #13.

Robbie is a 4 year old male purebred rottweiler. He is solidly built, blocky, and unaware of his size! He also has a happy nature and is playful! To find out more about Robbie, come check him out in kennel #36!

Satin is a 9 year old neutered male domestic long hair. He has been de-clawed and has a very handsome face! He is good with children, other animals, and strangers. He has no known behavior problems, stays inside, and is litterbox trained too. A very loveable and well-behaved guy! Satin is currently in the pup/cat room.

Nina is a 2 year old female beagle. As you can see, she is very sad that she's here. She is also shy and reserved, but will warm up to you after awhile. She just needs some love and affection. Could you be the one for her? Come find out in kennel #31!

Misty is a 7 year old female gray and white domestic short hair. She is a bit mad at where she is right now, but is a sweet cat. She's an older girl looking for a person to spend the rest of her life with. Could that be you? Come find out in the pup/cat room!

Bruno is a 2 year old male collie mix. He is very timid right now and would do best in a quiet home with older or no children. He'll require some work. Maybe you can earn his trust and be the best friend he's been looking for? Come find out! He's waiting in kennel #2.

Heidi is a 1 year old female pit bull mix. She is very sweet, loves to play, and loves her belly rubbed! She is also very alert and intelligent. She has gorgeous markings and must've been separated from her babies a bit too early because she is very interested in some pups at the shelter. Great dog! She is waiting in kennel #28.

Mamasita is a 2 year old female domestic short hair gray and white tabby. She is very loving and her name fits her well because she is now a mama herself! She recently had 4 beautiful babies!
