NEWPORT NEWS
A man seen fleeing on a bicycle is being blamed for two robberies of the same convenience store this month, the latest early today.
Master Police Officer Harold O. Eley, a police spokesman, said that just after 4 a.m. today, a man entered the Merry Oaks 7-Eleven store in the 15600 block of Warwick Blvd. He implied that he had a weapon and may have displayed what appeared to be a weapon and demanded cash.
After being given an undisclosed amount of money, the man left the store and was last seen riding away from the 7-Eleven on a 10-speed, Beach Cruiser bicycle.
Video surveillance footage of the robbery shows that the man who robbed the store this morning appears to be the same man who robbed it at about 1 a.m. on May 5, Eley said. Additionally, the verbal demands of the robber were similar in both incidents.
The robber was described as being black, in his late 20s to mid 30s, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.

Now THERE'S a loyal
Now THERE'S a loyal customer! Comes back to rob the same place a second time. Must have been pleased with their speedy service the first time! Seriously, the jerk should have been knocked off his "getaway car" by some nice BIG truck! Or . . . HE could have been stopped and robbed by someone else!
The longest ride of your life
Can't imagine what the feeling would be to pedal away after robbing someone. Must have had his drivers license revoked!!
he must have gotten some money the first time
otherwise why go back and try again?
