NORFOLK – Today’s federal court bond hearing for Olympic gold medalist Tim Montgomery was postponed until Tuesday.
The 33-year-old sprinter was arrested last week on a charge of dealing more than 100 grams of heroin over the past year. He’s being held in the Portsmouth city jail.
The bond hearing was reset to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Montgomery told The Virginian-Pilot last week that he knew nothing about the allegations.
He is scheduled to be sentenced May 16 in New York in an unrelated check-kiting case that also ensnared his former coach at Norfolk State University, Steve Riddick.
