A furniture-filled delivery truck has overturned on a ramp at the interchange of Warwick and Fort Eustis boulevards this morning, forcing police to close that ramp.
Lou Thurston, a police spokesman, said the wreck, just before 10 a.m., occurred on the southbound off ramp from Warwick to eastbound Fort Eustis.
"Apparently, the driver took the ramp too fast," Thurston said, and the truck rolled onto its side. There were no serious injuries although the driver has been taken to a hospital for a check up.
The driver's name and what, if any, charges would be lodged were not immediately released.
Crews are on the scene working to empty the truck and then clear it from the area.
It was unclear how long the ramp would be closed, however.
