This video is brilliant

Wow.

I just saw N.E.R.D.'s video for their single "Everyone Nose" and am feeling like it's one of the best videos I've seen in the last few years.

The pacing matches the frantic sound, and the Polaroid-quality film seems to be a capture/snapshot of the glimpses you catch that become, as Kanye says, part of your memory's museum. It is intense and has a D-I-Y with my Mac quality to it I really dig.

You see euphoria and sadness and joy and destruction...this video, like the song, sums up Bungalow or Hyde or Mansion, where you are surrounded around all these celebrities and beautiful, stylish, scary, self-destructive alluring people throwing caution and money and good sense to the wind.

Given the subject matter, the cameos from Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan are ironic but not really. They are...perfect. And Shay and Chad look good: they are never overshadowed by their super-famous band mate and look like the rock stars everybody around here knows they are.

I am gushing, but this a sick video. Don't you think so?

Speaking of, Kanye has the remix to this song, which Pusha T murders, on his blog.

Also, and after this we're no longer discussing the Kanye show, but at least according to the Fader, all of us who were a wee underwhelmed with the show this past weekend missed something. A whole lot. Because this person, hipster penchant for hyperbole notwithstanding, said the show 'made us rethink our lives.' (*trying to hold laughter*) Maybe this show is better indoors.
