Synopsis

After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALL-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet's future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALL-E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen. Joining WALL-E on his fantastic journey across a universe of never-before-imagined visions of the future, is a hilarious cast of characters including a pet cockroach, and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.

Wall-e

It was hard for the little little kids to follow without words, but I thought it was great!!!

good for the kids

Good for the kids; a little slow for the grown-ups. Kept the kids entertained, and managed to tell a cute little story with very little words. Awesome animation, and the opening cartoon was a hoot!

I'm really struggling with

2

I'm really struggling with the more than two star ratings. This movie was simply o.k. It was not riveting by any means and barely entertaining at best. I would definitely not take little ones who are restless - because this will not hold their attention.

Disney has done good =]

I think disney has been falling a little bit but i LOVE disney movies without a doubt. what a genius, but this movie bumped disney up a little from its low notch for me. I absolutely love how this movie was done! It proves you don't need words to speak =] body language tells it all and how emotions are expressed through simple gestures or even just an expression. i may be getting into too much detail but it is difficult to create a movie with no speech, so i congradulate them on doing as fine a job as they did =]
wall-e was great, period.
[ok so i wasn't a big fan of the fat people but that's just because i was enjoying the no talking thing haha]
p.s. great moral !!!

Truly amazing

Rarely have I seen a movie that has made me want to go four times within two weeks of its opening -- a feat I will achieve tomorrow. I appreciated what "WALL*E" was saying while giving it the attention necessary to decipher its unsaid dialogue. Maybe it's not for younger kids. Instead of being a dumbed-down kiddie movie, it gets a message across without being preachy. "WALL*E" manages to be funny, silly, sweet, and serious all at the same time. Who says that an animated movie is automatically one for just children?

So give the movie a chance. "Entertainment Weekly" gave "WALL*E" an A (rare) and I completely agree with that rating. It's the best movie this year.

And WALL*E himself is about the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

good

i liked this movie as an adult, but not sure children could keep up with the story line. i had to keep explaining the story, it was a deep story about the world in the future.
no talking for the first 20 mins.

I created an account just to

I created an account just to right this injustice! Or hee, well, people are entitled to their opinion, but...I've never been so excited about a movie. I saw it three times, and I hope I can go again.

Don't waste your money

This movie stunk! What a let down from Disney. Take the family to see Kung Fu Panda instead. At least it had more laughs.

My favorite of the year

I was completely amazed by this movie. There's something to be said in simplifying a story to its basic components, and WALL-E did a great job with that. As a story of discovery it works, as a story of commitment and determination it works, and the love story was surprisingly poignant. The animation, of course, was amazing. This is by far my favorite Pixar film thus far.
