Synopsis

The film tells the story of Max, a rambunctious and sensitive boy who feels misunderstood at home and escapes to where the Wild Things are. Max lands on an island where he meets mysterious and strange creatures whose emotions are as wild and unpredictable as their actions. The Wild Things desperately long for a leader to guide them, just as Max longs for a kingdom to rule. When Max is crowned king, he promises to create a place where everyone will be happy. Max soon finds, though, that ruling his kingdom is not so easy and his relationships there prove to be more complicated than he originally thought.

really bad

i took my grandchildren ages 6 and 9, i hated it, but i have learned not to say anything in front of the children as to whether i liked it or not. on the way out i said to the 9 year (who had read the book) what did you think of the movie, she said in her words "it is the worst movie i have ever seen" i don't think is is for children and very deep story and lots of violence and disrespect for other people.

Don't Go!!!

This was NOT a good movie for children - or a good movie in general. There is no good moral lesson; it is not humorous; it highlights very aggressive, inappropriate behavior and doesn't ever really show that such behavior is not good, and it's quite depressing/sad. My four year old cried through the last fifteen minutes or so, and was sobbing when we left the theater. All in all, it was a waste of money. Be warned before you invest!!
