The College of William and Mary will rename its University Center – the largest multi-purpose building on the Williamsburg campus – the Sadler Center for Sam Sadler, its retiring vice president for student affairs.
Sadler, also an alumnus, is considered a campus fixture, having worked at the school for 41 years, the past 19 in his current position.
The surprise announcement came Sunday during William and Mary’s graduation ceremony – the 31st consecutive commencement that Sadler had organized.
