VIRGINIA BEACH
A woman was injured Friday night when the bike she was riding was struck by a motorist who then sped off, police said.
The incident occurred about 9:45 p.m. on Holland Road near Chimney Hill Parkway.
The car involved in the incident has been located, police said. Its location was not released.
The driver, however, has not been found.
The extent of the victim's injuries and her identity were not immediately released.
Lanes of Holland Road remained closed between Chimney Hill and the intersection of Chaseway Street and Table Rock Road at Holland as of 10:25 p.m. because of the wreck, police said.
