Beach company lands $10.6 million Navy contract

Posted to: Business Virginia Beach

SFA Inc.'s Virginia Beach office has received a $10.6 million Navy contract to provide services for integrating, upgrading and testing management and control systems on ships and at shore facilities, the Defense Department announced last week.

The contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring its cumulative value to an estimated $73.9 million. The work, which will be performed mainly in Charleston, S.C., and in San Diego, probably will wrap up by May 2009, though the efforts will continue to May 2013 if all options are exercised.
