NORFOLK
Marcus Vick will appear in court in September on charges that he drove drunk and eluded police last week.
Vick would have been set to appear in court on Monday had he remained in custody after his arrest last Friday. But he immediately posted $1,000 bond and was freed. As a result, his court date is Sept. 10.
Vick is a former Virginia Tech quarterback who was let go after problems on the field and elsewhere. He faces charges including driving under the influence and eluding police after a bicycle officer approached him downtown and he drove off, police said.
His passenger, Delicia Lenora Cordon, 24, of Miami, was charged with being drunk in public. She, too, is due in court Sept. 10.
