Graffiti sprayed outside Grafton High School

Investigators are asking for the public’s help with information about graffiti that was spray-painted at several locations outside Grafton High School during the weekend.

The graffiti, which investigators describe as vulgar, caused more than $3,000 damage, according to a news release from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

The damage was done Sunday or early this morning, the release says.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

When you say things like that, do you take the time to consider...would I say what I have just typed in public with a straight face? If you are trying to make a point but the sarcasm is lost in the typing, I can appreciate that. However, if that is a serious proposal on how to handle juvenile offenders, all I have is.......Really????

It would appear that even hoighty, toighty (sp? lol) Grafton isn't immune to those youngsters so bored stiff that they feel the need to say "Hey! Dis is me! Please pay me some attention!" by defacing a building. Such brilliance, such elegance. Start locking your doors, Grafton. lol There's loonies about.

and they are caught, the parent(s) should be arrested, and charged with neglect of their children. It all starts at home!

Well it appears this societal blight is hitting the region. Don't know how the rest of you feel, but, even beautiful Hawaii looks quite tacky when colorful scribbles decorate fences and walls. I hope Virginia has a mandatory stiff penalty for this costly, outrageous nuisance. Looks like we need more cameras.
