ELIZABETH CITY

Northeastern High School postponed its graduation tonight one hour because of the ongoing heat advisory.

The ceremony will now take place at 8 p.m., according to a news release from Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools.

Graduates are now asked to arrive at the high school by 7 p.m. to line-up for the ceremony.

Weather permitting, the event will be held outside at the school’s athletic complex. If moved inside the school’s gymnasium, only six tickets per graduate may be used because of limited seating. If held outside in the athletic complex, each graduate will be allowed to have 16 people attend.
