Occupation Naval architect

Nominated Gringo's Taqueria

On fish tacos "I am a surfer, sailor, fisherman and general waterman. I know fish, and I know tacos... chicken, beef, shrimp, you name it. But fish are by far the finest filling for any tortilla shell. Fresh ingredients are the key, but really, it's fish in a tortilla shell. What's not to love?"

Nominated East of San Diego, Roger Brown's Restaurant & Sports Bar

On fish tacos "I ate my first fish taco at Rubio's while living in California. Pardon the pun, but I was hooked. The perfect combination of mahi-mahi or tilapia, slaw and lime is pure bliss when wrapped in a warm tortilla. Heaven, thy name is fish taco."

Malcolm Venable, 30, Norfolk

Nominated There's a Mexican-American spot in Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C., with a decent fish taco.

On fish tacos "If it's got cilantro and lime, I'm sold."
