SUFFOLK
In late January, Grady Richard Wynn III burst into a Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court witness waiting room and threatened a witness set to testify against a member of his gang, the Cypress Manor Posse, prosecutor Jim Wiser said in court Friday.
Wynn was charged with criminal participation in a street gang, obstruction of justice and two misdemeanor charges of contempt of court and assault.
Wynn, 19, pleaded guilty under an Alford plea at his trial Friday - which means Wynn acknowledged there could be enough evidence to prosecute him should the case go to trial, but he did not admit guilt. Under the agreement, Wynn will be prosecuted for gang participation.
He will face as much as 10 years in prison when he's sentenced Sept. 11, Wiser said.
Under the agreement, Wynn also agreed never again to participate in a criminal gang.
