BRING YOUR BIBLE, grab a beer and settle in Monday for "Theology on Tap," a weekly presentation of Catholic thought kicking off at G.F. Keagan's Seafood and Steaks, 1550 Laskin Road in Virginia Beach.
Bob Schihl, director of adult faith formation at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Virginia Beach, will talk this coming week about the Eucharist, or holy communion.
Schihl said the series targets adults 18 through 35.
"The novelty of taking theological teaching into a tavern is attractive to the young we hope to attract," he said. Participants can order from the restaurant's kitchen and bar during the evening.
The gathering starts at 7:30 p.m., with a discussion forum at 8:30. A $2 cover charge will be collected. Door prizes include a Bible, a book by Pope Benedict XVI and a certificate for a free beer or beverage.
For information, contact Schihl at (757) 449-4494, ext. 309 or BobS@stgregorysva.org.
